Is there an exhibition accompanying the Passion Play in the Oberammergau Museum?

May 5th to November 1st, 2020
The Oberammergau Museum is partly surrounded by a cube, which continues inside and cuts through parts of the building. The resulting space becomes an exhibition of the inner passion. A large part of the small sculptures in the historical collection from the 18th and 19th centuries depict the life, suffering, death and resurrection of Christ. Light, projections and veils direct the viewer‘s gaze to individual sculptures; the tour ends in a spatial sculpture. The museum thus becomes a place for reflection on one‘s own projections, fears and the  question of salvation.
